Who we are
agentic.in (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is an independent resource about agentic AI and generative AI. It is operated by Abhishek Chaudhary, New Delhi, India. You can reach us at abhishek@agentic.in. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
What we collect and why
The information we collect depends on how you use the site. Reading articles does not require you to give us any personal information.
Visiting the site
Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use this to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which articles are read and how people arrive. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and a pseudonymous identifier. Google’s use of this data is described in its privacy policy. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
Comments
When you leave a comment we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. Your email address is not displayed publicly. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture; the Gravatar privacy policy is available here. Once a comment is approved, your name, comment and profile picture (if any) are visible to the public.
Contact form and bookings
If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, subject and message, and send them to the site owner by email so we can reply. If you book a call through the site’s booking calendar, we collect the details you enter (such as your name, email address and any notes you add) to arrange and manage the appointment.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, and your name if you provide it, and store them with our email-marketing provider, Mailchimp, so we can send you the newsletter you asked for. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe. Mailchimp’s privacy policy explains how it handles data.
User accounts
The site allows visitors to register for an account. If you register we collect your username, email address and password (stored in hashed form) and any profile details you choose to add. You can view, edit or request deletion of this information from your account page or by contacting us.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses the following kinds:
- Essential cookies. If you log in, WordPress and the site’s membership system set cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your screen preferences. Login cookies last for two days, or two weeks if you choose “Remember me”, and screen preference cookies last for up to a year. If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies.
- Comment cookies. If you tick the box when commenting, your name, email address and website are saved in cookies for one year so you do not have to retype them.
- Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop logging in from working.
Embedded content and links
Articles may include embedded content (such as videos, images or posts) or links to other websites, including social media profiles. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you had visited that site: it may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it. We do not control those sites, so please read their own privacy policies.
Who we share your data with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for the purposes above: Hostinger (website hosting), Google (Tag Manager and Analytics), Mailchimp (newsletter delivery) and Automattic (Gravatar). Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service. If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep your data
- Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely, so that follow-up comments from the same person can be recognized and approved automatically.
- Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Account details are kept until you delete your account or ask us to.
- Contact messages and booking details are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage the appointment.
- Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account, and server logs according to our hosting provider’s practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given (for example by unsubscribing). If you have an account or have left comments, you can ask us for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you or ask us to erase it, except where we must keep it for administrative, legal or security purposes. To make a request, email abhishek@agentic.in. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your data is processed
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including outside India. By using the site you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.
Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
